HOLIDAYS
This program calculates the holidays in Germany for any year between -4712
and 5000. The weekday of a specific date may also be obtained.
Extreme years for easter-dates are e.g. 1818 and 2038.-
The Gregorian and Julian calendars, as well as the Islamic and Hebrew calendars,
and the moon-phases used here
follow Jean Meeus: "Astronomical Algorithms", chapter 8 and 49 etc..
Also the solstices, precision about 1 min between 1950 and 2050.
Leap years are indicated after the new years entry. Date and Time in UTC.
Date-format is dd.mm.yyyy
Year = -4712 here corresponds to conventional "Year 4713 BC",
while in conventional BC/AD-counting year 0 does not exist. The Gregorian calender starts with 15.Oct.1582,
Julian ends with 4.Oct.1582. - The values for ΔT used here seem slightly more actual than those used in
http://astropixels.com/ephemeris/phasescat/phasescat.html, which otherwise is one of the best Moon-references.
